'Human coexistence' Munkhtsetseg Batmunkh

contemporaryartcen

Free-living substances such as water, rivers, mountains, winds, and so on are frequently the focus of her artworks.

While creating her artworks with felt, she enjoys immersing herself in the softness of these natural movements. Felt is a material that radiates and exudes vitality; its softness and ethereality are palpable. As you work with it more, it becomes a part of your creativity in an intuitive manner.

Herding animals are a gift from Mother Earth to us. Mongolian nomads are fond of felt and wool.

Munkhtsetseg values everything around felting, traditional handicrafts, and art crafts. Through this material, she expresses her nomadic values.

Watching her create these felt buttons will make you feel like you're preparing buttons for a giant piece of clothing called the universe.

One becomes one, and all become one. Munkhtsetseg Batmunkh reflects on her nomadic culture and mothership while feeling like a mother tailoring these giant clothes and their buttons for her children.

Mother's milk and unconditional love are both white substances that wish for their children to grow into the sky from evergreen herbs.

In the steppe, there are hundreds of yurts who will call you if you have a nomadic soul.

In July 2024, this work was showcased at the German Art Camp Bavaria & Exhibition Mursbach.

'Human coexistence'

Our existence lies between the sky father and the earth mother. Humans have lived in communities while exploring life. According to their location, they have created their culture, customs, and language. These unique characteristics of human communities led to their establishment of values.

Unfortunately, the communities have created an unlimited need due to their greed. Humans crave to consume more, but there needs to be more availability of resources.

Peace is interior. Harmonious communities are only possible with a profound understanding of equality. What direction are we being led towards?

My artwork is created using felts, which have been used by nomads until now. In Mongolian, Felt is ES-GII, which translates to 'ES (cell) GII—(rise)' and refers to rising cells. I am profoundly touched by felt, and it continues to embody my creativity. Wool fiber is a living substance that can bring love and is warm and healthy.

The round space of Yurt serves as a symbol of the eternal truth in this work. Living in harmony with nature's essence is what nomads do. The blood that runs in our body is the blood of rivers, seas, and waters, and the natural resources under the earth are the organs of our bodies. Our wisdom is referred to as the sky by nomads. They convey the conscious knowledge of not moving a single stone on the planet. Despite keeping nature wild for millions of years, nomads face urban civilization. The knots of Deel, which are buttons of Mongolian traditional dress, represent equality, tenacity, and conscious unity.

The earth requires love.

Intuitive equality and its intrinsic unity.
